Natural spring water GOLIJSKA LEDENA springs under the Bozac peak on the Golija Mountain at 1100m altitude and by natural fall, through a completely sterile pipeline, comes to a filling station which is located at about 500m altitude. The plant is located at the very confluence of the Rzinjska River into the Luchka River, in the village Osonica located at the brinks of the mountain Golija. The plant foundations were set in 2005 and the construction works lasted until 2007. The usage permit for the plant is issued that same year. The construction building is a modern architectural building made in such a way as not to harm the natural ambient where it is placed, but to make it even more beautiful and arranged. During designing and during the carrying out of work it was thought in advance, so that everything was prepared in a way that the filling station building, as well as the equipment in it, could fulfill the highest quality standards (HCCP). It should also be mentioned that the whole plant is at over pressure and that the outdoor air comes into the plant through filters used for intensive care.

The whole filling station has a surface area of 1500m2 and consists of the filling station, laboratory, energetic block modern wardrobe for blue and white collar workers, modern canteen, required infrastructure spaces (raw material and final product stockrooms, offices…).

The production program of the bottled drinking water plant consists of natural spring water in PET and glass packaging of different volumes.

Bottles are filled with Golijska Ledena in its natural condition, without any treatment, so that it reaches the consumers fully natural. The production process is completely automatic, so the human work is reduced to control panels operation and to loading the equipment with raw materials. In the bottling station plant of Golijska Ledena, a modern line for filling of PET and glass bottles functions in contact-free mode in completely aseptic conditions and with ozone treatment, the way it is used in operating rooms.

The bottling line consists of the following:

- PET bottles production department
- new non-returnable PET bottles are produced from performs with the application of high temperatures and pressure (Greek technology)
- department for rinsing, filling, closing and labeling
- new bottles are first rinsed, then filled with drinking water and closed, and all three machines are located in one joined device, the so called triblock. The level of filling and the setting of caps are controlled with the passage of bottles through an automatic device. The closed bottles are labeled on a modern labeling machine which places the light polyethylene (LD PE) labels, and then they pass by a device that sprays the production date on.
- department for packing and palleting
- labeled bottles are loaded on a conveyer, and at the entrance into the packing machine they are divided in groups of 6 or 12 where thermo shrink foil is wrapped around them and cut. Passing through the thermo tunnel, the foil shrinks and a package is complete.

During palleting, packages are stacked in rows on pallets, with divider cardboards placed in between. The pallet with goods is wrapped with stretch foil and it is then overtaken by a fork lifter to be placed in a storeroom.

The filling line for 0.2 – 10.0 liter bottles has a theoretic capacity of 5000 bottles per hour and it is made according to Italian–Austrian technology by AMER LLC Krusevac.

Washing-up and disinfection of technologic equipment and the pipeline within the production line, that is the surfaces in direct contact with the bottling water, are done from the CIP station within which there is a technologic preparation equipment, transport and heating of operational solutions.

The control of the quality of water to be bottled, final products, prime packaging, raw materials, processes of washing-up and disinfection of technical equipment and the pipeline, as well as the measuring processes, are performed by the physical-chemical laboratory.

The plant for the bottling of GOLIJSKA LEDENA drinking water takes specific environmental protection programs in the overall production process, from the spring to a final consumer:

- with optimal spring exploitation
- using modern technologic solutions and equipment
- by waste recycling

Environmental protection system is in compliance with standards ISO 14001:2004, it works in conformity with nature respecting the rules of sustainable development, and it reinforces the employees’ consciousness about positive behavior towards the environment.
